Programs & Classes

During our first meeting, we will hand out books (free) and build bookmarks as we read the first few sections together as a group! This year, we will read “Braiding Sweetgrass: For Young Adults,” written by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and adapted by Monique Gray Smith.

Throughout the book club, you will learn how plants, Indigenous culture, and science all play a roll in the mutual care of our environment and planet.

There will be a total of five gatherings:

June 22, July 6, July 20, August 3, and August 10
