Join leaders Bob Boekelheide and Marie Grad for a pre-Christmas Bird Count warm-up at Carrie Blake Park and John Wayne Marina on Saturday, December 12, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We’ll begin at the south edge of the Carrie Blake Park soccer fields before heading to John Wayne Marina to scan Sequim Bay. This free trip is limited to 20 participants and is accessible to all.
Expect winter ducks, gulls, sparrows, and big flocks of wigeons and mallards—perfect practice for the upcoming count. Dress for cold, wet, or windy weather.
