Attention volunteers! The River Center will build rain gardens in October. Sign up now to help!
As part of the River Center’s building expansion, rain gardens will be installed on the grounds with the help of Washington State University Extension and the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe.
Rain gardens are a beautiful and effective way to clean polluted storm water runoff. Direct runoff from the new parking lot, concrete patios and sidewalks, and the roof will be diverted to two rain gardens where pollutants will be absorbed and filtered. Volunteers to help build the our rain garden on October 7th and 8th are needed!
