Olympic BirdFest 2026

The Olympic Peninsula’s premier birding event is set to take place April 16–19, offering an unforgettable experience for birders and nature lovers alike.
This four-day festival features expert-guided field trips, hands-on workshops, and engaging educational presentations, all designed to immerse you in the stunning and diverse habitats of the North Olympic Peninsula.

What to look forward to: 
-Expert-led birding trips to diverse habitats such as wetlands, estuaries, mudflats, prairies, and woodlands.
-A Saturday night banquet featuring a special guest speaker.
-Lectures, workshops, and classes including art and photography workshops.
-A post event excursion to the Makah Reservation at Neah Bay.
Olympic BirdFest draws birders from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond, celebrating the region’s spectacular resident and migratory birds while supporting the educational programs of the Dungeness River Nature Center.
