The River Center is excited to invite all kids (4-11 suggested) to our next Jr. Naturalist Program: Make Your Own Tea!
It’s important to stay hydrated in the summer! And there are delicious beverages of all kinds that you can make using ingredients growing all around us. For this program, we’ll be working with plants that you can forage locally. We’ll prep them, learn a bit about their lives and their role in the ecosystem, and combine them in infusions to make herbal tea (without caffeine, parents rest assured!). You’ll get to take home your own tea blend at the end of the day.
All supplies are provided, but if you bring a thermos or other container then you can take home any infusions that we make during the event. Please RSVP so we can ensure we have enough supplies! $5 donation appreciated but not essential.
