Join us for a special afternoon celebrating our community and a globally significant archaeological discovery right here in Sequim.
On March 21, 1978, a corner of a local family’s front yard was officially placed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Manis Mastodon Site. This discovery reshaped our understanding of early human history in North America and brought international attention to our region.
Hear from Clare Manis-Hatler and family as they share how this extraordinary find became a part of our region’s history.
We hope you can join us as we reflect on this history and the stories that connect us.
This event is free. Please RSVP so we can prepare seating and refreshments accordingly.
