Note: The Ongoing series is designed for those who have already attended the Beginner Series. Another Beginner Series will start in the new year.
Practiced for centuries, tai chi consists of continuous, fluid and precisely controlled forms in a specific sequence. In recent years, study after study have proven the benefits of tai chi—particularly for active agers. Tai chi reduces stress, anxiety and depression, lowers blood pressure, lessens joint pain and much more. Come and try out this ancient health-enhancing practice in its intended setting—outdoors.
All mobility levels are welcome. Wear loose fitting clothing and comfortable shoes. Bring layers. If the weather is poor, the class will be held inside the Rainshadow Hall at the River Center.
Instructor Connie encourages participants to attend every class, that way she can build on your practice with new moves. There will be a quick review of the core movements at the beginning of each lesson and a video to watch at home.
Upcoming class dates:
- November 18
- November 25
- December 2
- December 9
