Join herbalist Nancy Slick for a fun and fascinating wild walkabout to learn about the wild edible and medicinal plants that grow in our area!
First you will look at clippings, tinctures, and recommended books inside the Rainshadow Hall. Here, you will learn about the plants in the area and their edible and medicinal uses. Then the workshop will move outside and participants will go on an hour-long walkabout to find those plants within Railroad Bridge Park.
Nancy has been teaching this class for well over ten years, including for Peninsula College, the Port Townsend Food Co-op, the Kitsap County Fifth Graders nature class, restaurants, the Wild Birds Unlimited shop, and as an advisor for a survival show shot in Clallam County for the Nat Geo Channel.
Easy walking on flat surfaces.
