Join us for a screening of FISH WAR at the River Center. It will be the second time we’ve shown this documentary.
Fifty years ago, federal Judge George Boldt affirmed tribal treaty fishing rights in Washington state in a landmark decision.
FISH WAR is an Indigenous civil rights documentary produced by Northwest Treaty Tribes Media and North Forty Productions. The film uses rare archival footage and insight of activists on the front lines of the fight to trace the battle from its origins in the ’60s to today while interrogating what guaranteed fishing rights truly mean in the face of a climate crisis and human intervention.
